1. Power connection method:
LED strips generally have a DC voltage of 12V, so you need to use a switching power supply. The size of the power supply is determined by the power and connection length of the LED strip. If you do not want to control each LED light strip with a power supply, you can purchase a relatively large switching power supply as the total power supply, and then connect all the LED light strip input power sources in parallel (if the wire size is not enough, you can extend it) Uniformly supplied by the main switching power supply. Such an advantage is that it can be controlled centrally, and the inconvenience is that the lighting effect and switch control of a single LED strip cannot be achieved. The specific method can be measured by yourself.
2. "Scissors" mark per meter: Only cut the mark if it is cut incorrectly or incorrectly, it will cause one meter to be unlit! It is best to carefully check the position of the mark before cutting, and cut according to the place where it is not connected in the middle .
3. Pay attention to the connection distance of the LED strip:
In general, the longest connection distance of 3528 series LED strips is 20 meters, and the longest connection distance of 5050 series LED strips is 15 meters. If this connection distance is exceeded, the LED light strip is easily heated, and the service life of the LED light strip will be affected during use. Therefore, when installing, be sure to install it in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements, and do not allow the LED lights to operate with overload.
4. Each lamp strip must be equipped with a special plug (plug with transformer). When connecting, be sure to remove the transparent plastic cover, and then close the test lamp. Do not connect directly with a cover, it is easy to short circuit!
5. Outdoor installation:
Outdoor installation will be exposed to wind and rain. If it is fixed with 3M glue, it will cause the 3M adhesive to decrease over time and cause the LED light strip to fall off. Therefore, outdoor installation often uses a card slot fixing method, which requires cutting and connection. The method is the same as the indoor installation, except that it needs to be additionally equipped with waterproof glue to consolidate the waterproof effect of the connection point.
6. Indoor installation:
When LED strips are used for interior decoration, installation is very simple because they do not have to withstand wind and rain. Taking the LED strips produced by Huaxi Lighting as an example, the self-adhesive 3M double-sided tape is affixed to the back of each LED strip. When installing, you can directly remove the sticker on the surface of the 3M double-sided tape, and then fix the strip Where it needs to be installed, just press flat with your hand. Very simple, the LED light strip is a circuit structure composed of 3 LEDs in a series-parallel manner, and every 3 LEDs can be cut and used separately.
7. Controller connection mode:
LED marquee strips and RGB full-color strips require a controller to achieve changing effects, and the control distance of each controller is different. Generally, the control distance of a simple controller is 10 to 15 meters. The control distance is 15 to 20 meters, and the longest can be controlled to 30 meters. If the LED light strip is connected for a long distance and the controller cannot control such a long light strip, then a power amplifier is needed for tapping.
8. When the light strip is installed, it is generally placed in the light groove and straightened, or it can be fixed with a thin rope or thin wire. For exterior or vertical installation, clips and tail plugs need to be purchased separately. The original clip is completely transparent. If it is installed outdoors, it is best to put waterproof glass glue on the tail plug and plug after installation, so that the waterproof performance is better.
